Hello,
We want to inform and reassure you regarding the steps we have taken to clean and sanitize Rusko House and minimise your exposure of risk to Covid 19 during your stay.
Firstly, before you arrive the property will be thoroughly cleaned in accordance with our cleaning protocol which we have developed in accordance with government advice and detailed advice from various expert sources including the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers.
Approved and recommended cleaning products are being used and every surface cleaned and sanitized, with particular attention to all high-touch surfaces such as kitchen worktops, door handles and plug and light switches.
Our cleaners have been supplied with personal protective equipment (“PPE”) to wear during their time in the property. In fact anyone entering the property is asked to wear such protective equipment, including masks and cloves – both to protect themselves and also to minimise the risk that they themselves are contagious, whether experiencing symptoms or not. If there is any question that person is suffering any of the symptoms of Covid 19 we have a strict policy of refusing that person entry to the property.
We have asked our cleaners to complete and sign a cleaning checklist which will be left in the property for guests to read for full transparency and reassurance. Of course, if you require any further information or confirmation during your stay we will leave contact details and tend to any concerns without delay.
In addition to our usual process of changing all linen, towels etc all mattress protectors and pillow protectors will also be replaced prior to your stay. Linen will be professionally laundered at the at the recommended temperature of at least 60 degrees C. We will ask you to remove the bedsheets and towels at the end of your stay and put them into bags we will provide so that everything can be easily uplifted and laundered after your visit.
There will be no overlap or contact between guests. Guests will self-check in. On arrival we have a lock box (which will have been cleaned and sanitized) where you will find the keys (which will also have been sanitized) – so there will be no need for contact with any third party when you arrive.
Should assistance be required from our property manager, Donald (or anyone else), then social distancing guidelines will be observed and where necessary appropriate protective clothing will be worn.
We have provided plenty of soap in the kitchen and bathrooms and encourage regular handwashing as the best way to avoid any spread and also some anti-bacterial hand-sanitizer which we ask you use if you are out and about at all. We have produced an arrival information sheet with information for guests on Covid 19 related matters, including what to do if symptoms develop during your stay, useful contact details, as well as a couple of requests we make to make cleaning the property a little easier after you depart.
Finally, we will remain contactable throughout and happy to respond to any queries (or emergencies) that arise.
We hope these measures will help you feel comfortable and safe during your stay and we look forward to welcoming you to Rusko House.
